What is a fully enclosed shower cubicle?

A fully enclosed shower cubicle is a coordinated shower system containing the reinforced base, opaque wall panels, safety-glass enclosure and model-specific shower fittings. Aeros shower cubicles are also described as shower pods, complete shower units or freestanding shower cubicles.

Aeros models use 5 mm Australian Standards safety glass, a powder-coated aluminium frame, opaque Aqua wall panels and a reinforced acrylic base supported by a steel frame with adjustable levelling legs. The tongue-and-groove structure creates a watertight enclosure without silicone, glue or screws during cubicle assembly.

Choose the Right Shower Cubicle Shape and Size

Select a layout that suits the available bathroom space, access and preferred entry position:

• Square shower cubicles – front-entry and corner-entry layouts in 800 × 800, 900 × 900 and 1000 × 1000 mm sizes, depending on the model.
• Round shower cubicles – space-conscious corner-entry designs in 800 × 800, 900 × 900 and 1000 × 1000 mm sizes, depending on the model.
• Rectangular shower cubicles – wider 1200 × 900 mm front-entry units for customers wanting extra internal room.

Front-entry models suit rooms with clear access directly in front of the shower. Corner-entry models can help where a vanity, toilet or doorway affects the approach. Measurements shown are external cubicle dimensions, so check the installation area, plumbing, waste position and minimum height before ordering.

Basic or Deluxe Shower Pod?

On every model, the 2-way diverter on the rainfall arm switches between the rainfall head and hand shower. Deluxe models also have a separate three-way mixer/diverter controlling the rainfall shower, waterfall spout and back jets.

What is a prefabricated shower cubicle?

A prefabricated shower cubicle combines factory-made components into a complete shower system that is assembled on site. Often shortened to “prefab shower cubicle”, it gives buyers a defined package instead of having to select and build a shower from separate bases, tiled walls, screens and fittings.

Aeros supplies the reinforced shower base, wall panels, safety-glass enclosure and model-specific shower fittings as a coordinated package. Its watertight clip-lock enclosure assembles without screws, glue or silicone, while the supplied wall panels remove the need for grout inside the cubicle. This can reduce construction work and ongoing grout maintenance.

Does a complete shower cubicle still need plumbing?

Yes. A complete shower cubicle includes the shower components, but a licensed plumber connects it to the building’s hot water, cold water and wastewater drainage. External mini stops and stainless-steel supply hoses are selected separately to suit the installation.

The horizontal waste outlet gives the plumber another way to plan the drainage route. In a suitable laundry, existing tap outlets and trough drainage may help reduce wall or floor alterations. The available connection height, drainage fall and access determine whether this arrangement suits your room.

Can a free-standing shower cubicle be removed or relocated?

An Aeros shower can be disconnected, dismantled and removed if you later want to reclaim the space or install it elsewhere. This flexibility can be useful for changing household needs, rental upgrades and modular-home projects.

Relocation still requires suitable space, careful handling and plumbing reconnection. Where installation leaves the original room surfaces untouched, those surfaces can remain intact after removal. Any new drainage holes or other alterations may need making good.

What height do I need for an Aeros shower cubicle?

Allow a minimum assembly height of 2150 mm. Aeros shower height adjusts from 2150 to 2290 mm. Check your ceiling height and the selected model’s dimensions before ordering, including any beams or other obstructions.
