Spring Loaded Shower Door Rollers: Complete 25mm Door Set

Restore the wheel system on a sliding shower door with a complete set of spring loaded shower door rollers. Each set contains four 25 mm stainless-steel rollers: two adjustable top rollers and two spring-loaded bottom rollers, providing the upper adjustment and lower track engagement required for one door.

The two types of roller perform different jobs. The top rollers support the door and provide height and level adjustment, while the bottom rollers use a spring-loaded mechanism that can be pulled down for fitting or releasing the door from the lower rails.

Each pack of spring loaded shower door rollers is supplied as a matched four-piece set for one door. You receive two top rollers and two bottom rollers, so both the adjustable upper wheel positions and spring-loaded lower wheel positions can be replaced together.

How the top and bottom rollers work

The adjustable top rollers carry the sliding door on the upper rails. Door height and level are set at the top wheel using the knurled adjustment nut. Once the door is correctly positioned, the small grub screw on the top wheel is tightened to lock the adjustment.

The two lower rollers are spring loaded. During door installation or removal, the spring mechanism is pulled down to provide the clearance needed to position the lower wheels in, or release them from, the bottom rails. Once released, the spring-loaded wheel returns to its operating position in the track.

Installation procedure

Before fitting the spring loaded shower door rollers, establish the correct top and bottom of the shower door and its required orientation. The magnetic strip on the door should align with the corresponding magnetic strip on the shower frame.

1. Attach the two adjustable top rollers and two spring-loaded bottom rollers to the shower door.
2. Use Loctite on the wheel bolts to help prevent them from loosening over time.
3. Raise the door and hang the two top wheels on their upper rails.
4. With the door supported by the top wheels, pull down the spring mechanisms on the bottom rollers.
5. Position the bottom wheels into their lower rails and release the springs so the wheels engage the tracks.
6. Slide the door and check that it moves correctly and remains properly located in the rails.
7. If the door requires raising, lowering or levelling, adjust the knurled nut on the top rollers.
8. When the door is correctly levelled, tighten the small grub screws on the top rollers to secure the adjustment.

Adjustment and maintenance

If the sliding door is not level, adjust the upper rollers rather than the spring-loaded lower rollers. The lower wheels are designed to engage and release from the lower track; door height and levelling are controlled by the adjustable top wheels.

The spring loaded shower door rollers at the bottom also make it possible to release the bottom of the door from the track when access is required for cleaning or servicing. Before returning the door to use, make sure both bottom wheels have sprung fully back into their rails and that the door slides correctly.
